
Those who subscribe to the Augsburg Confession acknowledge that, according to the Scriptures, Christians may participate in their government (
AC XVI). The confession specifically states that Christians may hold legislative, judicial, executive offices, among other civil positions (such as being a soldier). Each Christian is encouraged to carry out his vocation in life; today, as a U. S. citizen who is registered to vote, I exercised that opportunity.
